I made a video game version of one of my favourite bars, Old Bar, so we can visit it while in lockdown. The song is an 8-bit cover of Zig-Zag's "I Care About You," transcribed by Kelly Dingeldei. Have a play below! It probably only works on computers <3

The Waxophone 1 is the first every turntable-powered analogue synthesiser. The speed of the turntable (as, as a result, the pitch of the record) is voltage-controllable, through the magic of pulsewidth modulation. The volume of the output is voltage-controllable via a super-simple vactrol-based gate. Combined with the "Guitar Villain" CV controller and a 20 minute 130.81Hz sawtooth wave/20 minute 130.81Hz triangle wave 10 inch record, you can play some pretty silly sounding tunes!

My drum sequencer, the epynonymous "Captain Beep-boop," was based on a "Baby 8" sequencer, which uses a 556 timer chip to send out 8 sequential pulses at the speed of your choice. Those pulses were routed through an AND gate and into a 8x3 switch matrix that allows you to control which beats are sequenced in each of the 3 channels in a fun, tactile way. There are even mute and fill buttons for each channel. The sequencer can be used used to trigger the built-in drum sounds. The kick drum is based on a design by Sound Bender and the snare drum is just an AM/FM radio with a transistor gate to let sound through when triggered. The drum sounds can be fed through a low pass filter, based on a design by Moritz Klein to make it sound all squishy.

I bought a ride-on Thomas The Tank Engine toy off Facebook marketplace and decided to fill it with cursed sounds. It is still a work in progress, but at the moment it houses a wacky dual-oscillator, a fidget-spinner controlled low pass filter, and the world's first fidget-spinner triggered 8-step drum sequencer (complete with flashing red eyes). Choo choo!

The goal of this project was to make a polyphonic synth where all the circuitry was laid out on display. The synth is made up of 7 sawtooth oscillators, based on Look Mum No Computer's "Super Simple" reverse avalanche oscillator design. The oscillators can be tuned in a key of your choice. Then, the diode matrix organises the pitches into the 7 chords of the scale! You can play this synth by pressing the buttons, or by hooking up any of the wires to the top output wire with alligator clips. In the first video, it is tuned to the C major scale. In the second video, it is somewhat less conventionally tuned. Is this art yet?

I built a Eurorack style modular synth with pink panels and a nice wooden box. It includes...
♥ 1 Irukandji Glitch Drum/VCO Module, made from a kit
♥ 1 CEM3340 Voltage Controlled Oscillator, based on Look Mum No Computer's design
♥ 1 Attack/Release Envelope Generator, based on Look Mum No Computer's design
♥ 1 Simple Roland System 100m Low Frequency Oscillator, based on the design of some nice person called mxbob8 on Reddit
♥ 1 PT2399 Noise Ensemble Delay Module, based on a guitar pedal design by anchovie
♥ 1 Voltage Controlled Low Pass Filter, based on a design by Moritz Klein
♥ 1 Mixer, based on Look Mum No Computer's design
♥ 1 Behringer 902 Voltage Controlled Amplifier (I just bought this one from the shop)

Here's the whole gang playing together during one of my live streams...
